Charlie Sheen says authorities have taken his two young sons because of threats he allegedly made to their mother, Brooke Mueller. “They were just being put to bed, and my assistant informed me that the police were coming down to issue a restraining order,” Sheen tells the “Today” show about the handover. “I didn't push it because I'm not into resisting the law and just had to surrender to it, knowing that this is now the challenge I claim to be looking for, and I'm more than willing to take on this task." Sheen’s threats to Mueller reportedly involved him telling her, "I will cut your head off, put it in a box and send it to your mom."
After her arrest for public intoxication, Christina Aguilera’s friends are reportedly begging the singer to go into rehab, according to TMZ. "Maybe when she was married she was able to keep it under wraps, but it's out in the open now,” a source says of Aguilera’s drinking, adding that before her arrest, the singer has blown off any requests for her to seek treatment. As for her arrest, Aguilera doesn’t have much more legal trouble to worry about: "We have no desire to prosecute, none whatsoever," a law enforcement spokesman tells People magazine, calling the arrest a “public safety issue.” "When she was able to navigate and to think on her own and make her own way, she was released."
Katie Holmes has filed a libel suit against Star magazine for publishing a cover story insinuating she is a drug addict, according to Popeater. “Of all the fabricated stories that continue to be published about me, this instance is beyond the pale,” Holmes says in a statement. “The publisher knew this outrageous story was false and printed it anyway to sell magazines.” For its part, the magazine is sticking to its story. “We have not been served with any papers yet, however Star fully stands behind the editorial integrity of what we have published,” a rep for the magazine says.
Though they reportedly split up last month, Amanda Seyfried and Ryan Phillippe are still very much dating, according to People magazine. “They're figuring it out," a source says of the on-again, off-again couple. "When it's good, they're really good together.” The couple was spotted together at a number of parties during Oscar week, including one at the Soho House, where they stayed on the patio most of the time before leaving together. “Amanda seemed a bit uneasy but they were very much a couple,” a guest says.
Olivia Wilde and Ryan Gosling have been spotted out and about together, prompting speculation that the two actors are dating, according to Us Weekly. The pair was reportedly spotted walking hand-in-hand and smiling at an aquarium in Cincinnatti, Ohio, thought a fan-recorded video of the sighting was later removed from YouTube. Wilde recently separated from her Italian prince husband, Tao Ruspoli. "She wanted to get divorced for the typical Hollywood reasons,” a source says. “Her career exploded, and she saw being married as not much fun."
It turns out Elton John and husband David Furnish will be attending the upcoming royal wedding after all. "We do have an invitation," John says in interview with CTV. "I've been trying to be discreet." But now that it’s out in the open, he’s happy to discuss the happy couple, saying that Kate Middleton “isn’t Diana in personality,” referring to her shyness. "She is very discreet, she is a very beautiful girl," John says "They have been together a long time, and I think she has handled the pressure so much." He also hopes Prince William’s rise to power comes sooner rather than later: "I think we need young people like him to lead,” he says. “I think he will be a tremendous king — not that Charles won't, but I think William will be ... tremendous."
